As a valued Supplier of CMP, the following are required as Supplier goods or services shall be used in the production of aerospace products, governed by AS9100 Rev D quality standard.
All Suppliers are to implement and maintain an effective and efficient quality management system (QMS). Audits and assessments of Supplier QMS shall be performed periodically. If there are any changes to Supplier organization, such as ownership, location, QMS, ability to provide goods or services, Supplier is responsible for notifying CMP.
Suppliers are responsible for training and evaluating the competency of employees to ensure all are qualified to perform services contracted.
For Suppliers providing special processes, a process for which the resulting output cannot be verified by subsequent monitoring or measurement (i.e. Paint, Plate, Clean), Suppliers shall:
- Define criteria to be used for review and approval of output
- Conditions required to maintain approval of output
- Maintain facilities and equipment
- Qualify employees performing process
- Follow specific methods and procedures to monitor process
Suppliers are responsible for qualifying, controlling, and monitoring external sub-tier suppliers’ QMS and performance. Any nonconformance shall be communicated to CMP and impact to products. Systems to be in place to allow for component and product traceability, thereby establishing ability to effectively recall any non-conforming products. If non-conformance is identified, Supplier shall notify CMP within 1-2 business days and defer disposition delegation to CMP.
Suppliers shall establish methodology for identifying counterfeit parts, and prevention from use.
Suppliers shall retain necessary documentation, according to applicable retention periods.
Suppliers shall allow right of access by CMP, end-customer, and regulatory agencies.
Suppliers shall ensure all employees and sub-tier suppliers are aware of their contribution to product and service conformity, their contribution to product safety, and the importance of operating with ethical behavior.
